Training Instructors

EQT Midstream’s Technical Training Group is comprised of a diverse and talented team of individuals with a total of more than 130 years of combined training and teaching experience. Each instructor is capable of designing and delivering a broad spectrum of technical training programs, including classroom training, hands-on simulations and on-the-job instruction.

Larry Chapman – Manager, Technical Training

Todd Plumley – Sr. Welding Coordinator
Mr. Plumley is a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and Certified Welding Educator. He oversees EQT’s welding program and coordinates the scheduling of Welder certification and related operator qualification, for both company and contracted Welders. He can be contacted at 304.348.5359.

Ryan Hays – Technical Trainer II
Mr. Hays reports out of the Midstream Technical Training Center in Clarksburg, West Virginia. His skills include production training, operator qualification, welding certification and customer service. He is a Certified Pipeline Welding Inspector (CPWI). His telephone number is 304.627.7909

David Ramsey – Technical Trainer II
Mr. Ramsey reports from Midstream’s Technical Training Center in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He is a Certified Welding Inspector and a CPI for corrosion. His training specialties are corrosion, GPS, operator qualification, and welding. His direct line is 304.627.7963.

Terry Godfrey – Technical Trainer II
Mr. Godfrey reports out of the Technical Training Center in Charleston, West Virginia. He specializes in natural gas compression. Additionally, he is a graphics program designer, oversees learning management system and coordinates computer based training and operator qualifications (OQ) His telephone number is 304.348.5358.

Shawn Bailey – Technical Trainer II
Mr. Bailey reports out of the Pikeville, Kentucky field office. He is a CPWI. He specializes in operator qualifications, and is a generalist in all areas of training. Steve Arms – Technical Trainer I

Eric Step – Quality Assurance Inspector
Mr. Step reports out of Pikeville, Kentucky. Mr. Stepp, a CPWI, conducts field inspections for quality control and compliance for company, as well as contract personnel. He also conducts pre-audits for compression and field operations for all operating areas of midstream. Telephone 606.433.2928.
