Participation in the EITC Program
EQT seeks additional means of supporting the community beyond the EQT Foundation. One such program, in which EQT has been active for several years, is the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). Since 2001, EQT has contributed nearly $5.3 million to educational initiatives through the EITC program.
EITC is a project of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development that enables tax-paying companies to provide grants and scholarships to children in accredited K-12 schools. At EQT, we value the education of our children and participate in the EITC program to ensure a bright future for our community. EQT receives state tax credits for contributions but the benefit is in securing the future of our workforce.
