EQT Foundation
What does it mean to be a good corporate citizen, to actually give back to the community?
As President of the EQT Foundation, I believe the concept is more than just a way to garner good feelings
and keep our name in the public arena. We strive to be a good corporate citizen because it makes
good business sense, and we do it because it’s the right thing to do.
Aiding those less fortunate and those who do good works for our community
is an important part of being a good corporate citizen. That’s why, through our Foundation, the Educational
Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program and our encouragement to our employees to volunteer man hours
to nonprofits, we actively work and contribute to building a better today and a better tomorrow.
Here at EQT, we support education for children and adults; encourage the development of safe,
healthy, diverse, livable communities; support the environment and preservation of local natural resources;
and sponsor local programs that promote greater understanding and appreciation of culture and heritage.
Since the EQT Foundation was established in 2003,
it has donated more than $14 million throughout our service territory.
I hope you will take time to review the initiatives in which EQT is involved, not just so you’ll feel
better about us, but hopefully so you’ll also join us in making our community, and our country, a better
place for all of us in which to live and work.
Sincerely,
Charlene Petrelli
President, EQT Foundation
