EQT is helping drive energy independence with one of our country’s most abundant resources – natural gas. Increasing demand for natural gas usage as an alternative to carbon-rich transportation fuels such as gasoline and diesel is another method of reducing air emissions – and EQT is at the forefront of this initiative.

What is CNG? CNG is an abbreviation for Compressed Natural Gas. This form of natural gas is compressed and stored in high-pressure containers (usually at 3,000 to 3,600 psi) so it can be used as an alternative fuel for internal combustion engines.

What is PSI? PSI stands for Pounds per Square Inch. It is a unit of pressure which measures force per unit area.

What is gasoline gallon equivalent (GGE)? Gasoline Gallon Equivalent (GGE), sometimes called gasoline-equivalent gallon (GEG), is the amount of alternative fuel it takes to equal the energy content of one liquid gallon of gasoline. Compressed natural gas sold at filling stations is priced in dollars per GGE.
